What could a slow website be costing me?
A visitor rarely looks at just one page, and every slow page loses some of them. Put in how many enquiries you get and what one is worth to you, and see how that adds up over a year.
Calls, messages and forms from your website.
Roughly what a new customer is worth to you, divided by how many enquiries it takes to win one.
Change the assumption
We assume a visitor looks at 3 pages before getting in touch, and some give up on each page while they wait for it to load. The BBC found it lost an extra 10% of users for every extra second its site took to load, according to Google's web.dev. Applying that to each page of a small business website is our own simplification, so treat the result as a rough guide.
